Note: The Protectli TPM 2 is currently only compatible with the Vault Pro VP2420 and VP6600 Series. If the TPM is selected as an add-on we will make the necessary modification for installation. Due to the nature of a TPM as a security device, the module cannot be returned for a refund.
The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a dedicated, secure microcontroller used for cryptographic operations. A TPM is used to generate, store, and manage cryptographic keys. A TPM can be used to authenticate the platform and firmware (BIOS) to guarantee the integrity of the device. TPM technology is becoming more popular as a mechanism to guarantee device integrity. As an example, Windows 11 requires a TPM 2.0 in order to install the OS.
The Protectli TPM 2 is the Infineon SLB 9670 running TPM 2.0.
