Description
The Vault is a compact form factor PC designed for firewall/router functionalities and other typically open-source applications including hypervisor and workstation operating systems. The Vault Pro VP2430 is another addition to the Vault Pro series. It is a 4x 2.5GbE network port design that leverages a low power, but versatile Intel® N150 CPU. The Vault Pro uses standard Intel components (including Intel network ports) which results in compatibility with a variety of operating systems, including a number of open source firewall projects. The Vault Pro VP2430 is fanless so it has no moving parts, which results in an incredibly durable platform that can be used in less than ideal environments. Its all-aluminum enclosure acts as a large heat sink, effectively maintaining CPU temperature. In addition to the heatsink chassis design, the Vault Pro VP2430 also offers two internal heatsinks to draw heat away from NVMe SSDs, RAM, WiFi cards, and modems to ensure lower operating temperatures.
The Vault Pro VP2430 can accommodate up to 48 GB DDR5 RAM and 2 TB M.2 NVMe SSD storage. The built-in 32 GB eMMC module can, for example, be used for booting a light-weight OS, or for use as optional storage.
