Description
The Vault is a small form network appliance built for use as a firewall / router, virtualization platform, network storage appliance (NAS), or regular desktop, and more. The VP3200 line continues the Vault Pro series with the N100 series of CPU's from Intel and the addition of a modular expansion bay. This expansion bay can be used for more SSD's (up to 4) or any industry standard PCIe Gen3 cards with up to x4 lanes.
The VP3210 features an Intel® Core™ Processor N-series, N100, 2x Intel i226 2.5G Network ports, Dual M.2 2280 size NVMe storage, and DDR5 DRAM. The included PCIe FHHL card slot is available for advanced configuration designs with many standard PCIe Gen3 devices with up to 4 lanes such as Graphics cards, Network cards, or Video Capture cards.
The Vault uses standard Intel CPU and network ports which results in compatibility with a large variety of operating systems, including a number of open source firewall and hypervisor projects. The Modular Vault has built an optional fan which turn on only as needed for cooling the PCIe card, minimizing the noise. This results in an incredibly durable platform that can be used in less than ideal environments. Its all aluminum enclosure is a giant heat sink, keeping the CPU cool.
The VP3210 accommodates up to 32GB DDR5 RAM in 1x DDR5 SODIMM slots and with two M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD storage slots, as well as 5G/LTE and WiFi slots to tackle even the toughest connectivity situations.
The Standard kit includes:
- 4 x standard SATA power connectors on the mainboard
- 1 x PCIe M.2 to SFF card for 4 lanes of SATA data and mounting brackets for internal 4x 2.5" SATA SSD
- 1 x PCIe M.2 to PCIe 4x (open) Card cable + 12v Power support cable for the PCIe bay option, as well as all standoffs and mounting screws
